Mass General Brigham
When Partners HealthCare unified its hospitals under a single name, it needed a brand and a website to match. One identity for one of the largest academic medical systems in the world.

In 2020, Partners HealthCare, the system founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, renamed itself Mass General Brigham. A new name for 78,000 people and a dozen institutions called for a completely new public website: a single, coherent digital front door for patients, families, clinicians, and researchers.
A separate agency created the new brand identity. My job was to take that brand and design the website: translating the new visual language into a living, responsive design system and a set of flagship pages. A homepage that could carry the mission, a services architecture, and location finding that spans academic medical centers, community hospitals, and home care.

Colors and a logo cannot reassure anyone on their own. So I turned the new brand into a working vocabulary: the slab-serif voice that carries authority, the humanist sans that keeps it human, and a blue-anchored palette translated into real, reusable parts. Buttons in three tiers and every state, form controls, navigation, alerts, cookie banners, cards, and media blocks. The building blocks every page would be assembled from.

Finding the right care, without the maze.
A system this large can bury people in options. The locations finder works like a real tool: search by name or specialty, filter by care type and distance, and see results your way. A scannable grid for comparing at a glance, or a live map for anyone who thinks in terms of "what's near me." One tap flips between them, and the filters carry across both. Finding a hospital stopped feeling like a search and started feeling like an answer.
